yaven

Private AI for agencies

Short answer: Private AI for agencies means using AI on client work without handing that work to a system you can't see or control. yaven is built that way. Your emails, messages, drafts and the profile yaven builds about you are stored on your Mac. When you ask for a draft, only the text that request needs is sent to Anthropic's Claude. We never train on your clients' work, and nothing goes to a client until your team approves it. We'd rather be precise than promise that nothing ever leaves your computer, so this page says exactly what does.

Why agencies worry about AI and client data

Agencies hold other people's secrets: unreleased products, rebrands before launch, pricing, pitch decks, contracts. Clients increasingly ask how that material is handled, and many NDAs say who it can be shared with. Pasting a brief into a general chat tool raises fair questions. Who can read it? How long is it kept? Could it be used to train a model?

Private AI isn't about avoiding AI. It's about knowing where your client information goes, and being able to answer your clients when they ask.

What stays on your Mac

  • Your emails, messages and calendar. yaven reads them on your Mac to triage and draft. They aren't uploaded to our servers or synced to a cloud.
  • Your drafts. Replies and notes yaven writes for you stay on your Mac until you approve and send them.
  • Your memory and writing style. The profile yaven builds about you, your clients and the way you write is stored locally, and you can open and edit it any time.
  • iMessage. It's read only on your Mac, and only ever leaves as a draft you've approved.

Six questions to ask any AI tool before you use it on client work

  1. Where is my data stored? On my computer, in the vendor's cloud, or both?
  2. Is my data used to train models? By default, or only if I opt in?
  3. What leaves my device for each request? The whole document or only what's needed?
  4. How long is it kept, and who can see it? Including the vendor's own providers.
  5. Can anything be sent on my behalf without my approval?
  6. Can I delete everything? And does that include what's on the vendor's servers?

These are the same questions your clients' legal teams will ask you. yaven's answers are on this page and in the privacy policy.

What yaven does with all this

yaven is private AI for the business of creative work, a Mac app built for independent marketing, branding, design and creative agencies. It finds new clients at the moment they need an agency, helps you answer briefs and RFPs, and tells you when a past client is worth getting back in touch with. All of it is drafted in your voice, and your team decides what goes out.

Your memory and writing style stay on your Mac; AI drafting uses Anthropic's Claude. We never train on your clients' work.

Not to be confused with yaven.me

yaven.ai is not related to yaven.me, a personal assistant app for Android. If you searched for "yaven" and landed here, this page is about yaven.ai only.

Questions

What is private AI for agencies?

It's AI that works with your agency's client information without putting that information somewhere you can't see or control. In yaven, your emails, messages, drafts and the profile it builds about you are stored on your Mac, the server only keeps what scheduled agents need, and nothing goes to a client until you approve it.

Does yaven train AI models on our client work?

No. We never train on your clients' work, your business data or the drafts you write. Corrections you choose to share are read only to improve yaven's instructions and tests, never to train a model.

Does anything leave my Mac?

Yes, and we're specific about what. When you ask yaven to draft or answer something, the relevant text is sent for that one request to Anthropic's Claude. A small amount of data lives on our servers so scheduled agents can work while your Mac is asleep, such as your account email, agent settings, results found on the public web, and any business page you choose to share. The privacy policy lists all of it.

Is it safe to use ChatGPT with client information?

It depends on the plan and your settings. Check whether the provider can use your chats for training, how long it keeps them and who can see them, and check your client contracts and NDAs. If you'd rather not paste client material into a general chat tool, yaven keeps your working context on your Mac and only sends what each request needs.

Can we use yaven on work covered by an NDA?

That's for you and your client to decide, because every NDA is different. We publish exactly what yaven stores, where and for how long, so you can check it against your agreements. Nothing goes to a client without your approval.

Is yaven.ai the same as yaven.me?

No. yaven.ai is private AI for the business of creative work, a Mac app built for independent agencies. yaven.me is a different product, a personal Android assistant, and isn't related to us.
